HICKORY, NC - The RPM Wood Finishes Group says it has acquired Fuhr Industrial, a provider of waterborne wood coating products and technologies based in Mansfield, TX. It will become part of RPM's CCI unit.

"Bringing Fuhr Industrial into our CCI business unit will allow us to leverage our strong relationships and manufacturing capabilities with the technologies provided by Fuhr," said Ronnie Holman, president of the RPM Wood Finishes Group. RPM consists of CCI, Mohawk Finishing Products, and Guardian Protection Products used in industrial furniture and cabinetry finishing and repair.

CCI began in 1975, as Chemical Coatings, Inc.,  a marketing company supplying coatings solutions to furniture manufacturers. Acquired by RPM in 1991 it was merged with Westfield Coatings in 2008.
