ROSEBURG, OR -- Roseburg Forest Products announced that its hardwood panels have received exempt status by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
California Executive Order N-10-038 exempts Roseburg’s hardwood plywood from third-party certification of formaldehyde emissions because the company uses an ultra-low-emitting formaldehyde (ULEF) resin to bond its panels.
According to Roseburg Plywood Plant Manager Cindy Frost, “ULEF exempt status means Roseburg hardwood panels ‘Surpass the Test’ because they consistently meet the requirements of CARB Phase 2, some of the strictest formaldehyde emission standards in the world.”
