Roseburg Closes Particleboard PlantLOUISVILLE, MS - Roseburg, manufacturer of particleboard and thermally fused melamine products, announced that it will close indefinitely its particleboard plant located in Louisville, MS. Approximately 80 employees will be laid off.

“Weak demand, increasing raw material cost pressure, and industry overcapacity are the key drivers of this unfortunate decision to close the Louisville particleboard plant,” said Grady Mulbery, VP Composite Manufacturing.

Other regional plants will take over Louisville's production. Recently, Roseburg closed several manufacturing facilities and acquired a modern continuous press line in Simsboro, LA. According to the company, these moves were part of a strategic plan that improves customer access to a full range of particleboard and thermally fused melamine products.
