Quis Machinery announces new co-owner, Robert Tate

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Quis Machinery has announced that Robert Tate has officially joined the company as co-owner, effective January 1, 2025. With over a decade of experience in the woodworking industry, Tate brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

His journey into the woodworking industry began in 2011, where he worked in national and regional sales manager roles for prominent OEMs recruiting and cultivating distributors, developing go-to-market strategies, and selling to direct accounts across North America.

Tate has been actively engaged with industry associations including the Woodworking Industry Association (WIA) where he first connected with Jason Dingess, Quis Machinery’s owner since 2017, developing a working relationship as Quis’ manufacturer representative.

This relationship revealed a shared passion for helping customers solve current challenges while equipping them for future growth, and in May 2024, Tate joined the Quis Machinery team to cultivate the South Carolina market, solidifying his commitment to the company’s mission and values.

“Robert embodies the dedication, vision, and customer-first approach at the heart of Quis Machinery,” said Dingess. “His extensive experience and deep understanding of the woodworking industry, combined with his strong leadership, make him an invaluable partner as we continue to grow and serve our customers.”

Robert is a 3rd generation Air Force veteran who resides in Simpsonville, SC, with his wife Emilie and their son, Jaidee.

“The opportunity to work as Jason’s partner has been a dream come true,” says Tate. “I’ve seen firsthand Jason’s professionalism, dedication, and positive spirit. Quis Machinery has cultivated a 70-year legacy of trust and fair dealing throughout the Southeast, and I’m honored to work with Jason to be a part of our customer’s success for many years to come.”

Quis Machinery looks forward to the innovative contributions Tate will bring to the company’s future as co-owner, helping shape the next generation of excellence in the woodworking industry.
