NEUMARKT, GERMANY – Pfleiderer AG reported an approximately $93.2 million loss in 2009 compared to a $7.8 million profit in 2008.
The company’s revenues declined by 20.4% from approximately $2.35 billion in 2008 to $1.87 billion in 2009. The company said the loss was sustained “despite successful structural adjustments and cost savings of approximately 100 million euros ($135.2 million), earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell significantly.”
Among its holdings, Pfleiderer owns Pergo and Uniboard.
