FAIRLAWN, OH — OMNOVA Solutions Inc., a manufacturer of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, and decorative and functional surfaces for a variety of commercial, industrial and residential end uses, on Sept. 17 reported net income of  $3.1 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended Aug. 31, compared to net income of $4.5 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2007, according to PRNewswire. 

 Included in the third quarter of 2008 were restructuring and severance charges of $0.4 million, compared to restructuring and severance charges of $0.1 million in the third quarter of 2007.
