FAIRLAWN, OH -- OMNOVA Solutions Inc., a manufacturer of decorative laminates, reported a net income of $3.3 million for the third quarter that ended Aug. 31, compared to net income of $1.4 million for the same period last year. Net sales increased to $208.8 million for the third quarter as compared to $207 million during the third quarter of 2005. The gross margin improvement was driven by increases in pricing of $5.8 million and lower manufacturing and healthcare costs of $5.3 million. Read more.
