FAIRLAWN, OH — OMNOVA Solutions Inc., a manufacturer of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, and decorative and functional surfaces for a variety of end-uses, on April 1 reported a net loss of  $3.0 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, for the first quarter ended Feb. 29, compared to a net loss of $5.1 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2007, according to PR Newswire.
