Office furniture manufacturer HNI elects ITW's John Harnett to board

MUSCATINE, Iowa - HNI Corp. has elected John R. Hartnett to its Board of Directors.
 
Hartnett is an executive vice president at Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a Fortune 200 global multi-industrial manufacturing leader with seven industry-leading business segments. Hartnett has been with ITW for 36 years and currently heads its Welding segment. He has extensive engineering, marketing, manufacturing and management experience from his numerous business roles at ITW including his most recent role as head of ITW's Construction Products segment, according to HNI.
 
HNI Corp. is the one of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world in regard to revenues resulting from office segment sales. HNI also manufacturers gas and wood burning fireplaces. HNI's brands include The HON Company, Allsteel, Gunlocke, Paoli, Maxon, HBF, Sagus, Heatilator, Heat & Glo, Harman, and Quadra-Fire. The company saw $2.3 billion in net sales in 2015.
