Nominations sought for Wood Manufacturing Council Human Resources Awards

Nominations for the WMC Human Resources Awards program are due by October 23.

OTTAWA --  The Wood Manufacuring Council announced it is accepting nominations for its 2019 Human Resources Awards, honouring companies and individuals who develop and implement creative solutions and contribute to best practices in the wood manufacturing industry.  Individuals are invited to nominate their company, customers or employees who lead the way in HR practices.  The awards program was established to promote the importance of HR in the wood industry and to give outstanding individual(s)/firms an opportunity to share theirt innovative ideas with other stakeholders.

The following awards will be available for nomination until October 23:

  • The WMC Award of Distinction
  • The Employee Recognition Award
  • The Innovation in Human Resources Award (Individual)
  • The Innovation in Human Resources Award (Company)
  • The WOODLINKS Success Award
  • The Equity Award
  • The Post-Secondary Educator Award (New)

WMC said that for companies, the HR awards represent a great way to celebrate achievements or recognize the efforts of an individual employee.  For suppliers, it is a unique way to acknowledge the good work of clients.
