PERRYSBURG, Ohio – Next Wave Automation has appointed Rudy Simondi as the new president of the CNC machinery manufacturer, effective June 1. He will work with founder and CEO Tim Owens on new product introductions and the company's expanding distribution network.

Prior to joining Next Wave Automation, Simondi oversaw operations and sales at a variety of companies, including 10 years at Acme Tools, as well as at Rockler, Select Comfort and PetSmart. “Next Wave Automation is an exciting place to be,” Simondi said. “It’s a rapidly growing company with a strong history of innovation, and we’ve got an exciting new product pipeline with impressive growth possibilities across multiple channels.”
Headquartered in Perrysburg, Ohio, Next Wave Automation manufactures a full line of CNC machines and accessories targeted to small and mid-size woodworking shops, hobbyists and makers. The company won an AWFS Visionary Award in 2017 for its Virtual Vision 3D, an advanced scanner controllable by a smart phone or computer. The device fits all CNC Shark and Piranha models and offers full-bed scanning capability.
