NORTH CAROLINA -- This fall’s NexGen, the second one this year, will be held October 5-7, 2010, in North Carolina.
Participating companies include Biesse North America, Costa & Grissom, Delmac Machinery Group, Holzma U.S., CR Onsrud and Stiles Machinery.
The three-day event includes the addition of an evening educational session and reception in each of major cities of the participating companies. All of the one-hour presentations begin at 5:00 p.m. and is followed by a reception.
The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, Oct. 5, Comfort Suites Airport , Greensboro, NC
Steve Walker, an extension specialist for the North Carolina State University Furniture Manufacturing and Management Center (FMMC), will present his views on the critical aspects of “Lean Manufacturing” implementation.
Wednesday, Oct. 6, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, Mooresville, NC
Paul Hoffman, a LEED consultant for Choate Construction Company, will discuss the LEED rating system and the challenges and opportunities presented to the various industries associated with it.
Thursday, Oct. 7, Double Tree Hotel, Charlotte, NC
Brandon Uttley, APR and president of Web Business Freedom Inc., will discuss social media and its implications for businesses. He will review the latest trends and how to strategically use the most effective tools, including Facebook, Twitter and more.
