EUGENE, OR — Murphy Co. of Eugene, OR, has bought a closed plywood mill in Rogue River, OR, for $3.6 million and plans to open it as soon as possible, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Company President John Murphy said that because of the weak economy, there are no specifics as to when the former Panel Products mill might reopen, but added that when it does go back in production, it probably will employ 135 people.
