SAN MARCOS, Texas — McCoy’s Building Supply announced the promotion of Joshua Whitley to senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective January 1, 2025.

Whitley’s promotion follows the retirement of Rick Neal, a 27-year veteran of McCoy’s. Whitley is only the third CFO in the company’s nearly 100-year history.

Whitley, a graduate of Texas State University, has over 24 years of experience at McCoy’s Building Supply. His first role with the company, while still in college, was to manually reconcile bills in the accounts payable department. Over the years, Whitley was credited for the addition of many procedural efficiencies, eventually serving as the company’s controller before being promoted to vice president of accounting in 2018.

“I am thrilled that Joshua has accepted the role as CFO of McCoy’s. He is smart, professional, respectful, hard-working, and an outstanding addition to our close-knit Senior Team,” said Meagan McCoy Jones, president and CEO.

In addition to supplying lumber, decking, fencing and other building products, McCoys operates two door and millwork manufacturing facilities.
