WASHOUGAL, Wa. - Miller Manufacturing, a maker of high-speed lumber planers and equipment, will move into a facility double its current size. They will also double their staff.

Dennis Miller, vice president/director of operations for Miller, said the company employs 20 workers and has plans to hire 10 more. The company is looking to hire a drafting engineer, service technician, as well as workers for its purchasing department and assembly & shop divisions. Miller said the salaries will be "mid-range." The current average wage at the company is $15/hour.

Miller will more than double its manufacturing space with the move - going from 4,800 square feet to 10,000.

“The market is very good,” Miller told the Camas-Washougal Post Record. “Our business is booming. That’s why we are working on moving into a bigger shop.”

Miller designs and manufactures lumber planer equipment and parts, including both new planers and retrofits. The complete Miller product line is designed for high-level performance with minimal maintenance and downtime in the harshest environments.
