GREENWHICH, CT - Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, an Eco Building Products affiliate, located in Greenwich, CT, shipped its first complete house package to JNG Development.
"Today is a historic day in the continued success of the Interstate lumber family,” said Sheldon Kahan, president Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, in a statement. “I am pleased to announce that we have shipped the first complete house package, with many more houses to come in the future, to be framed in Greenwich, CT."
Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, a 90-year old lumber company, entered into an agreement with Eco Building Products last year to make ECOB Red Shield Protected Lumber framing products at its Bethel, CT, facility. ECOB is an eco-friendly lumber with a coating that controls moisture in lumber and protects it from mold, wood-rot, termites and fire, according to the company.
