BAY CITY, MI -- An individual was killed and another injured at Mill Town Woodworks, a store fixture and woodworking business in Bay City, MI.
According to local media reports, the accident occurred June 10 as an 8-foot pile of lumber toppled from a skid being suspended on a forklift. Two people were pinned. When emergency crews arrived, one man had been killed; the other injured.
Mill Town Woodworks is co-located with A&B Display Systems Inc., founded in 1987 to manufacture point of purchase displays used in ceramic tile showrooms. According to its website A&B Display Systems employs 26 full time employees with annual sales at $2.5 million. Growth in the past few years has seen expansion into a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
