LOGANSPORT, Ind. — Indiana Dimension Inc. (IDI) announced Sept. 22 that a data privacy incident occurred and "may have impacted certain individual information."

IDI serves many manufacturers of wood products in a variety of business categories. Its primary markets include: cabinet manufacturers, furniture companies, recreational vehicle Producers, and homebuilders. 

In a letter to its customers, the company said that on or about June 30, 2023, IDI experienced a network disruption that impacted certain systems. Upon discovery, IDI took action to address and investigate the incident, which included engaging third-party specialists to assist with determining the nature and scope of the incident.

An investigation determined that limited information maintained on the network may have been accessed by an unauthorized actor between June 28, 2023, and June 30, 2023. IDI then began a review of the contents of the data to determine the type(s) of information contained within their files and to whom that information related. 

The types of information contained within the potentially affected dataset include name, in combination with one or more of the following: Social Security number, Driver's License number, and/or financial account information.

The company said that has taken steps necessary to address the incident and are "committed to fully protecting all of the information entrusted to them."

Upon learning of this incident, IDI said it immediately took steps to secure their environment and undertook a thorough investigation. IDI also implemented additional technical safeguards to further enhance the security of information in their possession and to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

IDI has established a toll-free hotline to answer questions about the incident and to address related concerns. The number for the hotline is 1-800-939-4170, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time (excluding major U.S. holidays).  In addition, IDI has notified applicable state regulators of this incident.
