IFDA presents Green Achievement Award to Steelcase
NEW YORK – Steelcase Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI, received the Green Achievement Award from the International Furnishings and Design Assn. (IFDA) at its annual Circle of Excellence Awards, hosted by its New York chapter.

The awards program recognizes individual talent, corporate initiative and significant accomplishments within the design and furnishings community. 

In 2006, Steelcase set a goal to reduce its environmental footprint 25 percent by the end of 2012, the year of its 100th anniversary. Additionally, Steelcase is the sole sponsor of the Wege Wind Energy Farm in Panhandle, TX, making the company the largest buyer of wind power in the furniture industry. Steelcase is a global leader offering 69 Cradle to Cradle certified products. The IFDA recognized these achievements, as well as advances in reducing product packaging, greening our supply chain and our end of product life programs.
