MARTINSVILLE, VA - Residential furniture producer Hooker Furniture has promoted Scott Prillaman to an expanded role of vice president of case goods operations.
Prillaman has overseen the Hooker Furniture’s (NASDAQ: HOFT) U.S. case goods operations for the past two years. He has been with the company in various roles for 25 years.
In his new role, Prillaman will be responsible for case goods warehousing and distribution, supply chain, logistics, quality, compliance and facilities management in the United States and abroad. He reports to Hooker Furniture CEO Paul Toms.
“Given the close working relationship necessary between our Asia team and their U.S. counterparts for vendor management, logistics, quality and compliance, it makes sense to have all of these functions reporting up through one individual,” said Toms. “Scott has proven over the last 25 years to be an excellent manager with strong critical thinking, listening and interpersonal skills. He has both the ability and capacity to take on these additional responsibilities.”
Bill Reece, Hooker’s vice president of Asian operations will report to Prillaman. Reece oversees product development, quality, and sourcing operations in China, Vietnam and Indonesia.
