ATLANTA -- The Home Depot Inc., a home improvement retailer, has announced an agreement to purchase Edson Electric Supply Inc., an electrical distributor based in Phoenix, according to Industrial Distribution magazine. No terms were released. The deal is expected to become final later this month. Edson has 11 locations, all in Arizona. The chain sells general electrical supplies both to residential and commercial contractors. The Edson deal is another in a series of recent acquisitions by the Home Depot. Read more.
