High demand prompts plant expansion for Kentucky's Millwork Products

PADUCAH, Ky. - Millwork Products, a manufacturer and distributor of pre-hung doors and millwork, will invest $1.5 million to expand its 95,000-square-foot Kentucky facility.

The 33,000-square-foot addition will serve as a warehouse and office space. The expansion will create 15 jobs.

The decision to expand was prompted by high sales and demand over the past three years.

“The continued growth of sales in the markets we service has really put a strain on warehousing space and our ability to increase production to keep pace with our customers’ demand for our products," said company president Robert K. Allen.

Allen thanked the Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development, the Kentucky Business Investment Program, and the Greater Paducah Economic Development for their "assistance in pointing us in the right direction with all aspects of this project."

Construction is set to complete by the end of the year.

Starting off in 1945, the family-owned Millwork Products has become one of the region's largest distributors of doors, windows, hardware, molded millwork, and stair parts.

The company employs 157 people and covers nine U.S. states.
