Hickory Chair president resigns to "pursue other opportunities"

Kevin Bowman will leave Hickory Chair.

HICKORY, N.C. - Hickory Chair President and COO Kevin Bowman has resigned from his role at Hickory Chair to "pursue other opportunities within the luxury consumer space."

Alex Shuford will act as interim president and will consolidate the roles of president and sales manager.

"It has been the honor of my career to have led this great company and its incredible people these past 4 years," Bowman said in a press release. "Hickory Chair is left stable and in the supportive hands of Alex and the Shuford family, where it will thrive for many years to come."

“I and the RHF Board wish to express our gratitude to Kevin for his leadership through some of the industry’s and company’s most turbulent years," said Shuford. "Hickory Chair is one of the industry’s premier custom workrooms and I and the family are more excited than ever about its future. The company has a powerful legacy and I am humbled to be able to take a more active role as we continue to build upon it.”
