HANOVER, Germany — Hendrik Rawe has assumed the position of head of the “LIGNA, INTERSCHUTZ, parts2clean, and SurfaceTechnology GERMANY” department within the “Trade Fair & Product Management” division at Deutsche Messe.
Rawe reports to Arno Reich, senior vice president of the Trade Fair & Product Management division at Deutsche Messe. The individual trade fair project managers, and thus the technical leadership of the teams, remain with the familiar persons: Stephanie Wagner (LIGNA), Bernd Heinold (INTERSCHUTZ), and Christoph Nowak (parts2clean, SurfaceTechnology GERMANY). Rawe succeeds Hendrik Engelking, who left the company on November 30, 2023.
After completing a Master’s degree in Marketing and Sales Management at FHDW Hannover, Rawe began his career at Koelnmesse in 2015 through a trainee program and later became a Junior Consultant in Corporate Development. His responsibilities there included supporting M&A projects, contributing to strategic development, business planning, and operational implementation of new event formats, as well as program management in digital transformation. In March 2021, Rawe took on the role of Digital Project Manager at Koelnmesse, where he played a significant role in advancing the company's digital transformation and developing new digital products until his move to Deutsche Messe.
“We are delighted to have recruited Hendrik Rawe, a dedicated and versatile trade fair expert, as the department head for LIGNA, INTERSCHUTZ, parts2clean, and SurfaceTechnology GERMANY. In his previous roles, he has built a wealth of experience and, particularly in fire and rescue services, an excellent network and demonstrated strong leadership skills. His insight into people, trade fairs, and various industries will benefit him in the strategic development of his event portfolio,” said Reich.
