ARCADIA, Wi. – Operations at home furniture giant manufacturer Ashley Furniture were impacted after flooding in Arcadia, Wisconsin, the home of Ashley’s 175-acre manufacturing site.
On July 20, high waters surrounding Arcadia forced the evacuation of several hundred people, including Ashley’s overnight shift. According to a statement, operations for Ashley’s first shift casegoods manufacturing remains canceled. Second shift remains operational.
Ashley’s warehouse and distribution remain operational.
Ashley Furniture recently broke ground on a $30 million, 500,000-square-foot expansion at its Arcadia facility.
The expansion will include a new e-commerce fulfillment and distribution center. Ashley says the expansion will allow its current 175-acre site to fulfill e-commerce orders more quickly and store more furniture onsite.
