CALHOUN, GA – Faus Group plans to invest $20 million in its laminate flooring plant in Calhoun. Plans call for adding a second milling line in January that will increase milling production up to 100 million square feet per year. In addition, four more presses will be added during 2008.
“We all know that the flooring industry is presently going through a difficult economic situation,” said Juan Flores, president of Faus Group. “However, we are making this additional $20 million investment because we are convinced it will maximize efficiency in the manufacturing of high-end laminate flooring, as well as positively strengthening the company’s partnerships with key customers in the U.S. market.
Faus began its U.S. operations in July 2006 after purchasing a 78-acre, 400,000-square-foot facility in Calhoun.
