Employee loses arm at treated lumber manufacturing plant

WOOD CROSS, Utah - An employee lost her arm while working at Utah Wood Preserving last week. 
 
Police say the employee's arm got caught in a wood stacking machine after it caught a piece of her clothing. She was unable to break free in time. 
 
Police and paramedics arrived soon after. The woman was taken by helicopter to a local hospital. Police say she is in critical, but stable condition.
 
OSHA is set to investigate.
 
 
Utah Wood Preserving's products include fire retardant and rot-resistant lumber.
