EcoBlu to sell treated Calvert wood beams in AsiaVANCOUVER, WA

- Lumber treatment firm EcoBlu Products, Inc. (OTCBB: ECOB) says a deal it signed with wood glue laminate beam manufacturer Calvert Company will allow it to market private label versions of Calvert's GluLam beams with EcoBlue Red Shield protective coating. EcoBlue says the agreement sets the stage for it to introduce the Red Beam into Japan, China and Korea.

Calvert approved EcoBlu's Red Shield coating technology, which employs water repellency coupled with mold, wood rot, termite and fire resistance, for use in its manufactured interior and exterior beams.

EcoBlue says the Red Beam wood product is already shipping to wholesalers around the U.S.

Steve Conboy, president and CEO of EcoBlu Products, says his firm's  wood surface film technology allowed development of a product with "the efficacy of the industry standard wax coating for laminated wood" while incorporating protection "against mold, rot, termites and fire for similar cost. Our partnership with Calvert Company brings the world's first and only high strength glulam protected beam to the market."

Calvert Company, founded in 1947, operates two glued laminated beam manufacturing plants (Washougal and
