
Kids of Kathmandu, a non-profit that utilizes woodworking, photography, art and design to raise awareness and needed funds for orphaned children in Kathmandu, Nepal, was formed last year by Brooklyn-based couple Andrew Raible, a furniture maker, and Jami Saunders, a photographer.
Their first initiative, The Desk Project, will focus on furniture design where 11 unique kidsâ desks made by 11 different designers will be auctioned off on May 12, to support childrenâs education in Kathmandu. The desks have been crafted by: Raible, Andrew Rumpler (Nine Stories Furniture Co.),
