STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO --

David Chase Rugs & Furniture has begun sourcing Argentinean wood casegoods sourced from TerraSur, which operates a distribution center in Seattle, WA.

“TerraSur blends original artwork and functionality resulting in bold and inspired pieces,” said David Chase Scully, founder and owner of David Chase Rugs & Furniture.

TerraSur makes its furniture in Santa Fe, Argentina. The company touts its multi-layered hand finishes, hand-painted designs, hand-forged metal and hardware, and use of plantation woods.

The furniture factory is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain-of-custody certified by the SmartWood program of the Rainforest Alliance. TerraSur is also a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC).

TerraSur was founded by President Jessica Holmstrom in 2008. “We want to take you back to a time when furniture was made by master craftsmen rather than cookie-cutter machines and when a piece of furniture was meant to be functional but also timeless, like a work of art,” she says on the company's web site.
