EFFINGHAM, Il. - John Boos & Co., a manufacturer of cutting boards, butcher blocks and kitchen furniture, will open a $16 million manufacturing facility in Effingham, Illinois.

 

The new 116,000-square-foot facility will produce a variety of Boos cutting boards, as well as both commercial and industrial countertops. The new plant will be located inside a 27-acre campus that includes the company's existing facility and headquarters.

 

The company will celebrate the facility's grand opening with the production of its 13 millionth butcher block. All of the company's 240 employees will be present.
