DENVER -- Shafer Commercial Seating Inc. has closed. The company was a maker of contract/restaurant furniture, upholstered chairs, wood chairs, bar stools, booths, tabletops, table bases, sofas and sleepers.

A message on their website stated: We are sorry, but Shafer Commercial Seating is no longer in business. We thank our customers for the many years of support.

Shafer was a longtime company listed in the FDMC 300. In 2016, we estimated annual sales of $11 million, with 95 employees reported.
