Tours of woodworking plants are a popular component of CMA meetings.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) will have a busy agenda at the 2021 Wood Pro Expo Florida, a regional marketplace for professional woodworkers.

For openers, the CMA is partnering with Woodworking Network to organize the Wood Pro Expo conference program and plant tours scheduled for Tuesday, June 8. The full-day conference will deliver timely information to help woodworkers capitalize on business opportunities and improve their processes. The tours will include stops at Doormark, a manufacturer of cabinet doors; The Closet Company, a manufacturer of closet and home storage products; and Ultrapan, a manufacturer of ultra-modern polymer panels.

During the expo, June 9 and 10, representatives of the CMA will be on hand to discuss the many benefits of association membership at booth #551. Among the benefits CMA members enjoy include networking opportunities at national and regional events, as well as the opportunity to tap into the community knowledge base via the CMA’s members’ only online forum. In addition, the CMA hosts its Wood Diamond Awards, publishes Profiles magazine, issues an email newsletter, provides website design assistance and conducts an annual benchmark study of business trends.

In addition to its annual dues program, the CMA is offering a monthly membership of $35/month for woodworking companies to discover the benefits and learn how the CMA can help them build their business.

The CMA was incorporated in 1998 by a group of custom cabinetmakers to provide a forum for small- to medium-sized shops to network and share best practices to grow their businesses. Today, CMA membership includes hundreds of cabinet, millwork and furniture shop throughout the United States and Canada, plus manufacturers and distributors of woodworking machines and supplies.
