SCHOFIELD, WI -- Clemment Cabinetry has been acquired by Wynn O. Jones and Associates, industrial furnishings dealer that specializes in the laboratory and technical furniture markets.
Clemment Cabinetry, a custom woodworking firm in Weston, WI headed by Mike Clemment, will become Jones |Clemment effective January 1, 2012, according to the Wausau Daily Herald. Clemment will continue to manage the six-employee operation.
Wynn Jones handles industrial, health care, and educational facilities furniture project planning and installations in Wisconsin, Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Iowa, and Nebraska, Kansas, and northwest Missouri, averaging over 800 projects annually.
The acquisition of Clemment Cabinetry means it will have internal resources for manufacturing customized components of technical furnishings it handles. Wynn "Casey" Jones II, the second generation owner of the 30-year-old Wynn Jones, says architects want more customized capabilities in projects.
"It has gotten so competitive that you have to be able to customize," Casey Jones says. "Clients want us to tailor installations, and they want the unique approach, but within the same lead time. Manufacturers can't perform at that level."
Projects anticipated for Jones|Clemments include manufacturing reception desks, store fixtures and laboratory furniture, allowing Wynn Jones to tailor projects for clients. Jones|Clemments currently concentrates on custom residential cabinetry.
Wynn O. Jones & Associates was founded by managers of Milwaukee Equipment Company when it closed in 1982. It operates from a 16,000 square foot facility in Schofield, Wisconsin.
