WINDER, Ga. - Chinese furniture maker and plumbing fixture manufacturer Spring Mountain Center will invest $45 million in a new Georgia factory and hire 205 employees to work there.

The 275,000-square-foot facility will allow Spring Mountain to create a supply chain within the U.S. - helping the company get closer to American consumers.

“We’re not only looking to create a more robust domestic supply chain and hundreds of jobs, but also be as close to the end-consumer as possible to understand their needs and wants to continue innovating in the home furniture and plumbing fixture industry," says Spring Mountain CEO Jie Xiang.

The company qualified for a state income tax credit to assist in the expansion, allowing it to deduct $1,250 per job from its state income tax for five years.

Jobs needed include management, engineering, and production roles. Workers will make more than $20 an hour, on average, the company said.

Construction on the plant will begin later this year.

Spring Mountain manufactures faucets, shower heads, toilets, outdoor grill cabinets, and outdoor furniture.
