KWW Kitchen Cabinets, a West Coast importer of kitchen cabinetry made in China, has expanded into a 123,000 square foot warehouse in San Leandro, CA, near the Port of Oakland, which will be its U.S. headquarters.
KWW Kitchen Cabinets paid $3 million for a multi-year lease of the properties, reports the San Francisco Business Times, selling a 50,000 square foot warehouse for $3.75 to Balco Properties, which is also the landlord for KWW's new warehouse.
Colliers International in Oakland, which represented KWW Cabinets & Bath in the lease, says the 123,200 square foot building will serve as KWW's U.S. headquarters. KWW Kitchen Cabinets & Bath sells cabinetry, bath fixtures and stone countertops.
The expansion provides for a larger showroom, so the company an show more of its vanities and cabinetry manufactured in China. The location of the building appealled to KWW Cabinets for its access to a U.S. Internstate I-880.
"Contractors can drop off old cabinetry at the dump, and pick up their new cabinetry on their return trip," says Hong Wong of KWW Kitchen Cabinets.
