BOONE, N.C. - Casegoods manufacturer Charleston Forge announced it has promoted Dan Minor to president of the Boone, North Carolina firm. Prior to joining Charleston Forge as vice president in 2014, he spent 17 years at Boyles Furniture.

Minor takes over the president's role from Rick Grant, CEO and co-owner. 

Andy Beekman was also promoted to vice president of the company's new Contract and Hospitality Division. He previously held the job of general manager.

The company also announced it has acquired Stoneline Designs, a manufacturer of office and home furnishings, also located in Boone. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Stoneline was founded in 1989.

Charleston Forge was founded in 1984 by Art and Susan Barber. They remain co-owners, along with Grant.
