Ovation Guitars reshores production to U.S.

Ovation Guitars will once again be made in the United States following its purchase earlier this year by Oxnard, CA-based Drum Workshop.

According to the Triad Business Journal, Castle CEO Kayvan Torabian says he chose Greensboro because of its central location for East Coast retailers, the area's skilled work force and its proximity to High Point where the company has a showroom.

Castle Home Furnishings manufactures uphostered furniture -- sofas, love seats, sectionals and more -- and employs approximately 152 at its Oxnard, California headquarters. All products are made in America from kiln-dried FSC certified hardwood.

"Our Certified Wood Products come from responsibly managed forests. Protection of biodiversity, species at risk and wildlife habitat; sustainable harvest levels; protection of water quality and prompt regeneration – these are the standards we set for all of our wood supplies," the company states on its web site. Approximately 85 percent of all its materials are purchased in the U.S.
