MONROE, Wa.- Canyon Creek Cabinet Company has announced Jason Blaschka as its new environmental health and safety manager.
While planning for ongoing improvement, Blaschka will be responsible for coaching and communicating safety awareness with employees, and monitoring the company’s safety program. He will conduct new employee education on the company’s safety programs and hold safety meetings that include plant management to review safety metrics and develop new policies and procedures to foster the culture of zero harm to employees in their work environment.
With over 20 years in safety and incident prevention training and techniques, 14 years in the manufacturing industry, and six in the construction safety field, Blaschka is experienced in lean manufacturing, and applies those strategies, tools, and processes to practice prevention-based safety.
"My beliefs around safety are to engage employees; measure the results and make the necessary adjustments," says Blaschhka. "I was really impressed with how everybody brought up the importance of safety in the new employee orientation. I’m really excited to get to know the employees and get to work."
Canyon Creek Cabinet Company, located in Monroe, Washington, is a manufacturer of custom frameless and framed style cabinetry. Operating from a 285,000 sq. ft. factory and showroom, it markets its products to designers, builders, and a select network of independent dealers throughout the United States.
