HIGH POINT - Custom contract furniture manufacturer Ariston Hospitality will establish a presence in North Carolina with a new factory in High Point.

Ariston will renovate an existing building that needs repairs, reports the High Point Enterprise. The company will invest more than $1.5 million to upgrade the building. 15 jobs will be created over the next two years, with average salaries of more than $37,000.

The city of High Point encouraged the expansion, offering Ariston a state building reuse grant of up to $90,000. The state has to approve the grant first though, which city officials expect the state to do next month.

Ariston was founded in 2008. A High Point presence will enable it to be closer to customers, which include high-end hotels.
