Columbia Forest Products buyout of Cabinotch, and the Famsa furniture factory fire that killed six in Mexico, were the most viewed wood industry stories this week.
Columbia Forest Products formally announced the opening of CFP Components, as the former Cabinotch is now known, with Mike Lee as director. The CFP Components division of Columbia Forest Products acquired Cabinotch's Challenger Award-winning system for assembling face-framed cabinet boxes. It now features Columbia’s domestically-produced, formaldehyde-free PureBond hardwood plywoods.
