RESTON, VA – Cabinet sales for November 2009 decreased 15.4% compared to November 2008, according to participating members in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn.’s monthly Trend of Business Survey.
It represented the first month in 2009 that the reported decrease fell below 20%.
Stock cabinet sales decreased -13.5%, semi-custom sales decreased -17.6%, and custom sales decreased -14.0%.
The year-to-date sales show a decrease of -29.2% with stock sales down -24.7%, semi-custom sales down -32.0% and custom sales down -35.6%.
Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent more than 50 percent of the U.S. cabinet market.
