BOISE, ID -- Boise Cascade announced it will shut down its wood beam plant in Emmet, ID, putting approximately 40 people out of work by June.

Boise Cascade said it would halt operations following the recent purchase of a reportedly newer and more efficient plant in Homedale, ID, that makes the same products, according to the Idaho Statesman.
