PHOENIX - A Phoenix puzzle making business is seeing record orders during the coronavirus quarantine.

Whimsy Wood Puzzles told AZFamily that on a normal day before the quarantine the company shipped an average of 3-4 puzzles per day. Orders are way up now - the company had 35 orders in a single day two weeks ago.

Owner Jeff Campbell attributes the success to people being bored at home.

“One of the neat things about doing this is we are producing something that brings people together while they are secluded in their homes,” Campbell told AZFamily. He said puzzles are providing a great distraction and challenge during these trying times.

Whimsy's puzzles are printed on an acid-free gloss cover stock mounted to a 1/4" domestic birch board before being laser-cut. They're also packaged in solid pine boxes featuring sliding lids. Each lid is engraved with the name of the puzzle, its size, and piece quantity.
