CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Naturepedic, a sustainable bedding and mattress company, announces its entrance into the furniture market with the launch of its Savona Kids Furniture Collection. The company states that each piece is certified for the highest standards in chemical safety and finished with a smooth, water-based finish that meets food-safety standards.

A new study published by the American Chemical Society found more than two dozen phthalates and flame retardant chemicals in children's bedrooms. The furniture line delivers thorough safety standards, with rigorous material testing on all products for lead, phthalates, formaldehyde, and heavy metals to ensure they comply with FDA requirements, California Prop 65, Children's Safe Products (CSP) regulations, ASTM toy safety standards and other guidelines.

"Most people don't realize just how many harmful chemicals they're bringing into their children's bedrooms when they buy conventional furniture," said Arin Schultz, chief growth officer at Naturepedic. "So many pieces are made with glues, adhesives, and synthetic materials like paints, stains, sealants, and finishes, that can off-gas for years. It's a hidden issue in the children's furniture industry that deserves much more attention. This new line is our first foray into furniture, designed to support families with a certified low-VOC foundation for rest, play, and everything in between."

Crafted from solid white oak, the collection includes a Kids' Bed, Nightstand, Trundle/Divider, Dresser, Chest, and Bedside Tray. The bedroom essentials are available in two colors: natural or white. As each piece in the collection is UL/GREENGUARD Gold certified, the brand is holding up its high standards for delivering the safest materials into children's bedrooms.

Naturepedic is expanding its existing childhood bedroom offerings, providing innovative solutions for growing families to ensure essential safety, in addition to its organic kids' mattresses, pillows, bedding, and recently launched stuffed animals.
