POTOMAC FALLS, VA – The Architectural Woodwork Institute and its insurance safety partner, CNA, have announced the four top honorees for “Best Safety Achievement”: Creative Dimensions Inc., Oberlin, KS; Genbrook Millwork Inc., Greene, NY; Wood Arts Systems Inc., Houston, TX;;and Concepts In Millwork Inc., Colorado Springs, CO. Each of the four honorees achieved the lowest incident rates of reportable injuries with the highest number of work hours for the previous year in their business size category.

A total of 45 safety awards were awarded to AWI Manufacturing Members in the three awards categories in the annual program. All award winners will be recognized during the AWI/CNA Safety Awards Lunch on October 4 during AWI’s Annual Fall Event, October 1-4, in Providence, RI.

Twenty-six AWI Manufacturing Members have earned the “Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement Award” in the 2008 safety awards program for zero lost time in the previous year. Additionally, 15 AWI manufacturing members were awarded with a “Safety Improvement Certificate of Recognition” in the 2008 safety awards program for reductions in their incident rate from the previous year.
