Atlas Dowel & Wood Products Acquires McFeely Hardware

HARRISON, OH – McFeely’s, Inc., a supplier of fasteners and woodworking tools, will be acquired by Atlas Dowel & Wood Products, creating 14 full-time positions, as part of an expansion for the Harrison, OH firms.

A 35%, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project comes from the office of Ohio Governor John Kasich.

McFeely's was founded in 1978 as a seller of domestic and exotic hardwoods to local woodworkers, later adding millwork services, then hardware and the Square Drive Screw. McFeely's later evolved into a supplier of fasteners and woodworking tools; including the famous Square Drive Screws.

Atlas Dowel & Wood Products manufactures high quality wood dowel rods and rope mouldings available in poplar, oak, hickory, hard maple, ash, beech, walnut, and teak, shipped worldwide.Custom projects are also handled.

Shaker pegs and wall mug pegs are centerless ground. Services available include doweling, moulding, planing, sanding, turning, (backknife, novelty, and centerless), tenoning, boring, tumbling, finishing, and kiln drying. Founded newar Cincinnati in 1949, Atlas Dowel switched from common lathe turning to centerless grinding in 1980 to produce very tight tolerances with a natural smoothness. Atlas is also FSC certified.
