SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- Artisan Custom Interiors' 5,000-square-foot plant was the site of a tour on Thursday evening, Feb. 28, for attendees of Cabinets & Closets Expo. The plant tour followed a well-trafficked first day of the show at the nearby New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center in Edison, NJ.
Artisan Custom Interiors, a full-service commerical and residential interior design and construction firm, recently added CAD/CAM software from Microvellum as well as a Weeke BHP 008 CNC routing machine and an Altendorf sliding table saw, both distributed by Stiles Machinery.
Expo attendees who toured Artisan got a chance to see the software and CNC technology in action with a live test run of the new equipment.
A family run business for over 30 years, Artisan works in solid woods and laminates, and fabricating Dupont Corion and other solid surface countertops, handling design, production and installation.
Clients are even invited to visit the plant to view their cabinetry "in the building process and see their project evolving," says Artisan, which also builds custom furnishings and bookcases.
Artisan produces both commercial and upscale residential cabinetry throughout metropolitan New York. For commercial architects and builder clients Artisan has the capability of providing detailed shop drawings based on designs and blueprints.
