TULSA, Ok. - Lumber and wood crating manufacturer Conner Industries will open a new manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 1 - its fourth new plant since early 2019.

The new facility is expected to serve large manufacturing customers with industrial transport and protective packaging solutions that utilize a broad range of materials, including wood, foam, plastic, and corrugate, as well as the associated 3PL and kitting services. This latest advance into the Tulsa market marks the fourth new facility added to Conner’s manufacturing network in the last eleven months, and follows the addition of facilities in Clarksville, Tennessee, Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Montgomery, Alabama.

“The opening of a new facility in Tulsa is an outstanding strategic development for Conner,” says David Dixon, CEO of Conner Industries. “The new site will serve as an ideal platform to broaden our engineered packaging products and service offerings to new and existing customers. This expansion exemplified Conner’s commitment to adapting to our customers’ ever-changing need for solutions that reduce the total cost of packaging.”

The new 56,000 square foot manufacturing facility has the capability to expand to 100,000 square feet, and includes eleven dock doors as well as modern manufacturing space to accommodate high volume productions of packaging assemblies that require a clean and secure environment. The facility has quick access to I-44 and is positioned to serve customers in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas. Conner expects to employ 50 employees over the next year and is holding a job fair January 29 to begin staffing.

“The Tulsa location aligns our products and services with the needs of our customers in a rapidly changing and demanding industrial packaging environment,” says Nick Roppolo, General Manager of Conner’s Engineered Packaging Division. “Through strategic locations, like Tulsa, Conner continues to demonstrate our commitment to providing packaging solutions that optimize supply chains.”

Following the opening, Conner will have 14 plants in ten U.S. states, with more than 800,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The company employs more than 850 workers.
