BALTIC, Ohio - Ohio-based custom cabinetmaker Schlabach Wood Design has won a Best of Houzz award for customer service.

Houzz is a platform for home renovation and design. The Best Of Houzz badge is awarded annually in three categories: design, customer service and photography. Customer service honors are based on several factors, including the nominee’s overall rating on Houzz and client reviews submitted in 2020.

A Best Of Houzz 2021 badge will appear on winners’ profiles as a sign of their commitment to excellence. These badges help homeowners identify popular and top-rated home professionals.

Schlabach made headlines on Woodworking Network last October after it announced a big expansion, which included $3.8 million in new machinery and 57 new jobs.

“Sales for our custom-made hardwoods cabinets for home and office have tripled over the past eight years through our national network of dealers as demand for quality hardwoods cabinets has increased,” said company president Willis Schlabach. “As the company has grown, we have been blessed to add co-workers into the business who share our passion for hard work and attention to detail that is inherent in the craftsmanship of our products.”

New machinery and equipment will allow the company to expand its kitchen and bathroom product lines - which are both seeing increased demand.

Schlabach Wood Design was established in 1994 with a focus on combining quality materials, craftsmanship, and a solid work ethic. The company is a family-owned, custom cabinet company located in the heart of Amish country in Ohio. Schlabach Wood Design cabinets are built entirely by Amish craftsmen who design, build and install custom cabinetry for homes.
